Overview

Shree Khodiyar Plastic Industries is manufacturer of high quality multi-purpose pet jars, PET bottles. For manufacturing of these plastic Products, they use Blow / Injection molding machines and compressors.

During molding operation current rise quickly, operation cycle for each individual machine is around 5mins. Since there are around 13+ molding machines & each machines operates in different time duration there is large variation in load current , reactive power remains uncompensated with conventional PFC. Also since most of the machines Screw barrel is VFD operated Harmonic Distortion is much high.

Resultant effect is Power factor is not maintained to unity and Electricity bill is increased due to excess KVAH captured.
